This piece was written by a current senior official of the Administration. It's anonymous (for reasons that will be obvious once you read it) by the New York Times (which published the piece) knows the author's identity. --Bob

At any one time, there are at least a hundred people who could be considered a "senior official" in an administration, so it's tough to pinpoint who wrote this piece as a matter of national security--because it is, after all, in the interest of national security that L. Don Hubbard and his cult of scientologists be booted out of the government in 2019. My money is on John Kelly. He has already been on record as calling Drumpf an "idiot". My second choice is James Mattis, who I am hoping will live up to his "Mad Dog" moniker by not taking BS from anybody--especially Drumpf. Oh, please let it be Mattis! National wires editor who sits next to me, when asked, said she thinks the author is John Bolton. She cited specific language in the piece that she thinks fits his tone, said he has the right amount of sneaky available, said he has the old-school conservative stances, and said he has experience writing op-ed pieces for the NYT (not that this is a necessary element, just another mild argument in his favor).
