Keith Moon died 40 years ago today. This was among the first celebrity deaths to really strike a chord with me. The Who was the first big group that I truly followed while they were still in their prime. I most recently saw the Who a few years ago, and they did a lovely tribute to both Keith and John by projecting their images in the background during some classic songs. The article below has Pete and Roger reminiscing about Keith (and his little-known softer side).
The Who's Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey remember Keith Moon, 40 years after his death
RIP, Moon the Loon!
