For once, I'm on Flock's side. The mainstream media completely overlooked a major Pro-Trump event on the National Mall this last weekend. The Mother of All Rallies was held in front of record-breaking huuuuuuge crowds and none of the major news networks covered it. So, in the interest of fairness, I've got some video footage of the event as Trump supporters overwhelmed our Nation's capital in his support.

From their official website:

Quote:
The vision for the Mother Of All Rallies is clearly framed by this statement: We will come together to send a direct message to Congress, the media, and the world, that we stand united to preserve and protect American culture. Driven by this vision, we will stand together to preserve and protect American culture defined as: American values, customs and traditions, the Constitution of the United States, the American flag, the National Anthem, the Pledge of Allegiance, our elected President and the Make America Great Again agenda.

The program for the 2018 Mother Of All Rallies event will integrate a diverse and dynamic lineup of speakers and entertainers, delivering messages targeted to the M.O.A.R. mission and 2018 rally topics. The topics this year will spotlight the contributions of veterans and military personnel, honor First Responders and embrace the next generation of young Americans. Speakers will explore challenges facing our nation and offer solutions for positive change. The program will also include several “Call to Action” topics highlighting issues of pressing importance to the M.O.A.R. audience and to the preservation of American culture. The event will include a “Patriot Fair” where organizations will provide information, education and resources to M.O.A.R. participants. We invite and welcome all people regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, age or political affiliation to participate in the Mother Of All Rallies. Meet us at the National Mall in Washington D.C. as we join together to stop the erosion of our American culture. Bring your American flag and celebrate our great nation!

Here's another one

https://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2018/09/10/silent-donation-corporate-emails-reveal-google-executives-efforts-to-swing-election-to-hillary-clinton-with-latino-outreach-campaign/

If this is true, Google influenced the election far more than the russians ever could. So let's talk about the source. I used this one because it went into the most detail. I looked around to see if I could get the entire text of the email, but I couldn't find it. I will reserve opinion until I see the entire email in context. All sources report that Google does not deny that it's authentic.

Anyone see this on the mainstream media yet?

Wow, an article in Breitbart. I'm convinced.

They wouldn't possibly shade the news would they?

And they've got Tucker Carlson for their mouthpiece. That clinches it.

And, by the way, it's no surprise that Trump got roughly 30% of the Hispanic vote; every Republican Presidential candidate typically gets about 30% of the Hispanic vote.

So, are you saying the email in question is false or made up?

I find it interesting that Breitbart supposedly has this e-mail, which is the best proof of its contents, and won't release it.

I do too. I want to see the whole thing, not just snippets.
But maybe it references personal things like yoga classes and grandchildren.

I also find it interesting that Breitbart and Tucker Carlson appear to have a big problem with voter outreach programs in general. The idea of encouraging people to get out and vote is apparently anathema to right wingers whose every effort is directed towards discouraging the "wrong" people from voting.

If a company with Google's tech savvy wanted to influence the election, there were a lot more targeted ways for them to go about doing it.

That's the implication that Breitbart's making. Even if Google had a political motive in supporting Hispanic "get out the vote" drives, it's probably legal thanks to Citizens United. But the geniuses at Google could also easily, and illegally, skew searches to advance their political goals, and they're smart enough not to admit to it in emails.

Oh, yes, of course. Let's deflect with bullshit.

Breitbart is looking at the forest and seeing one single tree. Google is making a concerted outreach effort in the Hispanic community, and it's not just a get-out-the-vote drive to elect Democrats. It's to get Hispanics more familiar and comfortable with Google and thus help persuade them to use Google products and services more often which increases revenue. There are a whole lot of companies in a whole lot of industries that are doing the exact same thing. Breitbart is conveniently looking at one little bit of their effort and conflating it into an effort to swing the election to Hillary

Quote:
Laura Marquez’s job description is centered on one important mission — to bridge the gap and widen the doors of opportunity for the Latino community. It’s a mission that has remained consistent throughout her career. While serving in the Obama Administration, she was the Director of Outreach and Recruitment within the White House Presidential Personnel Office. Now, while at Google, she is the Head of Latino Engagement. “Since Google is known for driving impact in new and innovative ways,” explains Marquez. “I am excited about the opportunity to impact my community through this lens.”Her role affords her the opportunity to walk into Latino communities and serve them with technology in the way that makes the most sense to them.

“Our products impact people at such a personal level, from Search to Google Maps to Google Photos, and we continue to innovate to better serve the user,” shares Marquez. “We activated Person Finder post-Hurricane Maria to help friends and family locate loved ones in Puerto Rico, and another Alphabet company deployed Project Loon, a network of balloons traveling on the edge of space to restore wifi connectivity for over 100,000 people on the island.”

Plus, everyone who knows anything about politics knew going in that the Hispanic vote would break 70-30 for Hillary. And in states like Florida with a heavier Cuban population it would probably be a bit less.
