I'm no lawyer, but IMHO Manafort's such a liar that his testimony, even if it's a complete confession, is so unreliable that it can't be used to prosecute anyone else.

There are rumors that Manafort saw Julian Assange more than once at the Ecuadoran embassy in London, and later traveled to Ecuador and met its president. It any of that is true, Mueller will need to prove it with independent evidence.

If you look back at Manafort's own trial, you can see how his testimony would help in a trial against Stone or anyone else. Rick Gates testified against Manafort and he was accused of being a liar as well. But what Gates did, and what Manafort could do, would be to connect all the dots for the jury. In this case, all the dots would be all the other bits and pieces of evidence introduced in the trial, which might be very confusing for jurors having to assemble it all on their own.

It’s admissible. Whether to believe it is up to the jury. But with the deal off, he may again be able to assert the Fifth Amendment. —Bob

Manafort and Jerome Corsi have both managed to royally screw themselves in finding out that Mueller doesn't screw around.

The interesting speculation I read is that Mueller waited until after Donny provided his sworn answers to direct his guns back at Manafort because he knew Manafort was feeding Donny information and wanted to see whether Donny’s sworn answers would track Manafort’s provable lies. —Bob
