Not sure which clue this fits.
"Misunderstanding" by Genesis goes with this clue:

1. 1980 song by a band that recently became a trio

Oops, I overlooked this post before. Sorry.

The answer is “Leaving on a Jet Plane” because “Leaving Las Vegas” is right above (on) “Jet.”

The answer is “Uptown Squirrel” because “My Squirrel” is right above (up) “Town Without Pity.”

The answer is Carrie Underwood because “Carrie Ann” is right below (under) “Knock on Wood.”

Ah, I misread the clue. I took "recent" as relating to now, not 1980.

I should have added "had" before recently in that clue I guess...

One more thing I'd like to note, just in case it wasn't clear in the instructions, is that some of the songs are used for more than one of the clues. So while it's good to mark off the songs that have been used already to know what still needs to be used, don't disregard the starred songs entirely...

I was really hoping you'd solve one of these given your reputation with my themed game sin the LSWE. Kudos on getting one of my better ones!

Right now, I can think of some possibilities for a few of the others as answers to the clues, but nothing in the song list to match up and come up with the definitive solution to the clue. As evidenced by my average performance on LS theme games, I often have trouble putting 2 and 2 together...

76. Dancing Queen/Abba
77. Flowers On The Wall/Statler Brothers or Eric Heatherly
