Sometimes I hate my job

No, not in the "take this job and shove it" sense, but in things I have to do, especially since I am a one-man HR department.
Yesterday, we had a mess of tornado warnings here (remnants of Florence), and most folks got into the restrooms (our safe area), although one employee pretty much had to be dragged there -- I think she was more in a state of shock than anything else, looking out the windows.
Fortunately we didn't get a hit, but some areas within a mile and a half of here got hit.

Unfortunately, there were two fatalities locally.
I found out this morning that one of them -- the one in the flooring company -- was the husband of one of our employees.
She had some insurance on him through our company, and I have already got the claims process in motion. That's the part I hate.
Send any good board vibes to Gina (her name). I know this has to be a most difficult time for her.
