What Happens in Georgetown Prep

#1 Post by Spock » Tue Sep 25, 2018 12:20 pm

JFC-SSS-It was a joke-which is an attempt to be funny. He was riffing on the staid reputation of prep schools.

It was a riff on the well-known slogan-"What Happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas."

This meme has spread throughout the culture-ie "What happens in deer camp, stays in deer camp."

Do I have to list more? Or can you take it from here with other examples.

The yearbooks belie the notion that Georgetown Prep was staid. Kavanaugh's page in the yearbook belies the notion that he was unfamiliar with the lack of staidness.

But this only matters if someone is seriously arguing that his character back then was such that he couldn't possibly have engaged in the conduct he's accused of. Given the documentary evidence, that would be a stupid argument to make. --Bob

Not quite as stupid as the argument that he unquestionably engaged in the conduct he's accused of.
