RIP Dunkin' Donuts

#1 Post by silverscreenselect » Tue Sep 25, 2018 12:53 pm

The company is not going out of business, but the name is being changed officially to "Dunkin'" with the donuts disappearing much the same as the word "fried" disappeared from Kentucky Fried Chicken. Dunkin' will start its rebranding efforts in January.

"Something's always cooking down at Dunkin!"

Something missing. They won't be able to use that tagline. I agree they need rebranding.

The dining hall for the Corps of Cadets at A&M is Duncan Hall. They could use the same tag line.

I stopped buying donuts at Dunkin a couple of years ago, even though it's the closest donut shop to me.

My biggest beef? I'm going there for donuts. Instead, I get stuck in a line of people wanting coffee. Or coffee drinks. And all of them take five minutes to make, and there's only two folks behind the counter (of which one has likely been employed less than 30 days and still doesn't understand how to make many of said coffee drinks). By the time I get to getting to the counter, it's lunchtime.

Maybe the name change is truth in advertising, because it seems like the donuts are an afterthought there.

or simply eDunkin'

They are missing the internet bandwagon. I hear it's going to be a pretty big thing.
