Tv tech, guru, whoever may have answer

Tv tech, guru, whoever may have answer
We have a 5-7 year old Sanyo that is our outside tv. Just started to auto flip thru input settings-video, hdmi 1, 2 3, won't hold a channel, etc. Did all the plug unplug and all that crap. Called Sanyo who said it's too old, call another number to reset, blah blah. Are we screwed or is there something stupidly simple we can do?

Did you make sure it's not the remote that's stuck? If it's still acting up after removing the batteries from the remote, it's ready to become a boat anchor as it would cost more to fix than it's worth.Beebs52 wrote:We have a 5-7 year old Sanyo that is our outside tv. I have as my only TV an old Sony Trinitron. It was sold to me by my video repair place. I fixed it flpping by choosing an input channel somewhere other than the proscribed channel 3. If this helps any.

I just checked their website and they have tons for sale, many on clearance. If you don't want to go the internet route, they have stores in many parts of TX.
