Fireball's Fantastic 500 -- Early 1990s, Part IV

#1 Post by Pastor Fireball » Fri Oct 05, 2018 6:04 pm

At this point, we are now halfway through the first part of the 1990s. I told you these recent songs would fly by. Let's make them fly a little faster.

#40. The Motown Song, Rod Stewart f/ the Temptations (1991)

#39. Can't Stop, After 7 (1990)

This song is not about Brett Kavanaugh's sexual indiscretions and drinking habits in college.

#38. Tennessee, Arrested Development (1992)

There's always money in the banana stand... dammit, wrong Arrested Development again. :P

#37. If I Had No Loot, Tony! Toni! Toné! (1993)

#36. Something Happened on the Way to Heaven, Phil Collins (1990)

#35. I Wish It Would Rain Down, Phil Collins (1990)

A double dose of the guy whose last name we Bored Buddies were once unable to type without getting censored. Collins Collins Collins! Jeffrey Tambor and Eric Clapton co-star in this video. One other interesting note is that this video accurately predicted that Phil would win an Oscar.

#34. You Don't Know How It Feels, Tom Petty (1994)

#33. Show Me the Way, Styx (1990)

#32. Save the Best for Last, Vanessa Williams (1991)

#31. Walking in Memphis, Marc Cohn (1991)
Boney Hall of Fame: #340

It's been a long time, but we've reached the fifteenth crossover from TBone's list.

The next ten songs will be revealed on Thursday. I'm pushing it up a day because next weekend is CinCityCon, Cincinnati's annual board game convention. I'll be at the Sharonville Convention Center off of I-75 for most of the three-day gaming bonanza. If you are in the Cincinnati area and looking to get tickets to the festivities... well, forget it. All sales were closed on Monday.
"[Drumpf's] name alone creates division and anger, whose words inspire dissension and hatred, and can't possibly 'Make America Great Again.'" --Kobe Bryant (1978-2020)

"In times of crisis, the wise build bridges. The foolish build barriers." --Chadwick Boseman (1976-2020)

#31, #32, #35, #33 in that order for me. The rest...nah.

I admire you for trying to come up with such a list of decent music from the early '90s. Not much there.
