Clan Grew By One

#1 Post by Appa23 » Mon May 05, 2008 11:20 am

After weeks and weeks. months and months, of my son checking out cat books from the school library, and periodic tearful recollections of Jake the 35 Pound Cat, my wife gave in.

We went to dinner Saturday night, after my daughter had finished at her dance competition, and there was a PetsMart nearby. Wife and kids go over there, and the next thing that I know, we are getting a cat from the Nebraska Humane Society. Happy Mothers Day to her. :)

Cocoa-Kiy is a six year-old brown and tan cat -- already spayed, declawed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Previous owner was an airman who was being transferred from Offutt AFB to somewhere else.

[Our initial plan was to wait until after we had returned from spending the week in Branson for a national dance competition, but I should have known that it would never occur. We always seem to walk into PetsMart and leave with a pet.]

Enough already. It's my fault! Get over it!

That'll be $10, please.

Hey, Marley, you speak fluent kid! :)

You will not be seeing any postings from the cat, unless she suddenly learns how to operate a computer and learns a language other than purring/meowing.

PetSmart is a dangerous place to take the kids. Annie and Lizbit always want to bring home a pet of their own.

That leaves out my two felines. One is like Odie, it took him six months just to learn how to breathe. The other only cares about eating (and he's the skinny one!). He purrs only when he's at the food bowl, or if he wants a drink from the sink.

If the dog were younger, maybe. Her arthritis won't let her do any typing, though.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

My sister Tigger refused to use the computer. She said it was quicker and more efficient just to think pictures onto the backs of other folk's eyelids. She was smarter (and better at eyelid projection) than I am.

I was wondering, when Mr. Uly turns his eyelids inside out, if everybody else can see what he's thinking.

Dunno.......everyone turns away in disgust and horror.
