Bob McNair, Houston Texans owner, dies at 81
Like Seahawks owner Paul Allen, Mr. McNair was a philanthropist. He donated half a billion dollars over his lifetime, including a million to the United Way after Hurricane Harvey.

This was a shock to everyone in my family. We did not know he had been sick and battling cancer.
Thank you Bob McNair for delivering a class organization to the Houston sports scene. I know the team has not had the on the field success you probably hoped for, but as people say about individuals, it's not the money that makes a man a success but the friends he made along the way, the Texans are truly a success evidenced by the loyal fans the team has.
Rest in peace.
