I've been having internet problems at home, so I've had to operate on only my cellphone during the past four days. That's why it has taken me so long to put together the latest installment of my list.

Oh, and don't forget that there are still about 12 hours left in the Rap Godz vote. Go vote for me, O.G. Russ Hood, right now if you haven't done so yet.

Now on with this music!

#11. The Sweet Escape, Gwen Stefani f/ Akon (2007)

Have I mentioned yet that the Rap Godz contest is my possible sweet escape out of the Bored?

#10. Chasing Pavements, Adele (2008)

We were introduced to a young, full-figured British chanteuse named Adele Adkins back in 2007. In 2008, this single became a Top 40 hit on both sides of the Atlantic... and the rest, as they say, is music history.

#9. Superman (It's Not Easy), Five for Fighting (2001)

Although they sadly didn't enjoy the same success and longevity that similar bands like Maroon 5 and Train have, Five for Fighting still holds a place in music history with this Grammy-nominated 2001 hit. This song still moves me emotionally every time I hear it.

#8. Don't Take Your Love Away, Avant (2004)

Yet another obscure and underrated R&B singer who could use some long-overdue exposure.

#7. Untitled (How Does It Feel), D'Angelo (2000)

Most people never even paid attention to the lyrics of this song because they were too focused on D'Angelo's nude body, which was all that was filmed for the music video. Strip away D'Angelo's stripped frame, and what do you have? A solid R&B tune. The lyrics aren't fancy, the production isn't fancy... but simpler is sometimes better. You know how I mentioned earlier that male musicians don't seem to dance anymore? Well, aside from Pharrell Williams, they don't seem to hit high notes anymore, either. I miss those days. Don't worry about clicking on this link. The camera doesn't show any part of "little D'Angelo".

#6. Never Let You Go, Third Eye Blind (2000)

Hey, let's hear it for a high-ranking alternative rock song on my list! Slight confession here: For nearly 20 years, I frequently confused this band with 3 Doors Down. You remember them, right? Those rock guys who had a fairly decent music career until they sold out their souls to perform for maladroit malevolent mental-midget Donald Drumpf nearly two years ago?

#5. Family Affair, Mary J. Blige (2001)

Another memorable melody that will have you dancing in your chair every time you hear it.

#4. Beautiful, Christina Aguilera (2002)

The title says it all. It's beautiful!

#3. Turn Me On, Kevin Lyttle (2004)

You probably don't know anything about the style of Caribbean music called "soca", so this is your primer. Buster Pointdexter, you shut up because your pseudo-soca song didn't even make the Top 40. This one did, though. This is the only soca song to make the US Top 40, but St. Vincent-born musician Kevin Lyttle definitely made it count. Lyttle went all the way up to #4 with this song that was bumping in every American club in 2004.

#2. Answer in the Sky, Elton John (2004)

Sir Elton makes his eleventh and final appearance in the Fantastic 500. It should come as no surprise that Sir Elton would be represented in four different decades of my list. He and Bernie Taupin know how to write a great song! Though it failed to make the Billboard Hot 100, this song follows the same formula of "powerful melody under beautiful lyrics with a memorable hook and a catchy bridge" that made Sir Elton one of the most successful artists ever.

And we've come to the end of another decade, as I reveal my top pick of the naughties...

#1. Someone to Love You, Ruff Endz (2002)

Another little-known song that failed to make the Top 40. This R&B duo is technically considered a one-hit wonder, as they had only one song in the Top 40. "No More", the first single off of their debut album, was a massive hit on both the pop and R&B charts. It topped the R&B singles chart on September 2, 2000, and climbed up to #5 on the Hot 100. A year and a half went by before this decade's #1 hit of mine was released. It was the second single (and the title track) of Ruff Endz's second album. It really is a shame that this song only got as high as #12 on the R&B singles chart and #49 on the Hot 100 because it is such a beautiful song.

It's almost a wrap! One decade of good songs, one day of festive music, and one week of pig crap remain. Just think, guys: The very last post that I ever make on the WWTBAM Bored could possibly be my worst post ever because it would be my picks for the ten most God-awful songs in world history. Happy holidays!
