I am so bad at figuring out MM - except mini - she is easy.
But I'm not particularly complicated. If it's stupid and amusing, I'm there....

BTW, that cover is available any any Best Buy for viewership or purchase, it may even be available at your local library.

Well, it's not available in the Vatican Library.
The two young ladies do not appear to be particularly friendly or happy, or, frankly, attractive. If I were to make up a list of all of the women in the world whom I would most like to see naked (not that I would ever do such a thing, mind you, I'm just saying), it would have to be pretty darn l-o-o-o-o-o-o-n-n-n-n-g before it would include either of them. I've seen candidates for President who are hotter than those two.

But do it soon, because I just read that the human race is going to split into two separate species, and I want to make sure I'm on the winning team.

Oh, and by the way, the Roxy Music ladies might not still look quite the same if you have a chance to meet them today. That photo was taken at least 33 years ago.

Aha! Here are their names (courtesy of Wikipedia). Maybe we can find online photos and see how they have aged:
The title of the fourth Roxy album Country Life was intended as a parody of the well-known British rural magazine of the same name, and the visually punning front cover photo featured two lingerie clad models (two German fans, Constanze Karoli and Eveline Grunwald)[19] standing in a forest. As a result, in many areas of the United States the album was sold in an opaque plastic wrapper because retailers refused to display the cover.

Some ideas for those thinking of album-cover avatars
I don't think any of these are obscene, mind you, but I should warn you that the commentary on this website isn't G-rated. It's funny as hell, but not G-rated.

There is something wrong in a government where they who do the most have the least. There is something wrong when honesty wears a rag, and rascality a robe; when the loving, the tender, eat a crust while the infamous sit at banquets.

LOL -- my parents were huge Herb Alpert fans -- I'll snoop thru Mom's record collection next time I visit & see if she has that oneCountry Life wrote:I'm thinkin' maybe I should change my avatar to this instead:

And KT, I'm sorta ashamed to admit -- I used to have "Joyce's" rainbow dress -- and hairstyle!
Wait a sec -- I think the stripes on the bodice were diagonal -- more like the "Bobbie Mohan-Culp" outfit seen here:

KT -- too funny! I had seen the covers in another blog, but the comments were more than worth a second visit.

My 6th grade class picture shows me in the front row, resplendent in red button down shirt, red/grey/black plaid skirt, and the lovely argyle socks from album #10 completing the outfit. Consider this an open apology to the fashion world.

Heck, I am a big Herb Alpert fan. And yes, I did have that album cover when I was a teenager.VAdame wrote:LOL -- my parents were huge Herb Alpert fans -- I'll snoop thru Mom's record collection next time I visit & see if she has that one

I'm not sure what happened to mine - I had all of the Tijuana Brass records up until Herb Alpert started doing solo bits and <shudder> singing. When I got married I think I may have left the albums with my mother and she eventually discarded them.Bob Juch wrote:I still have it!earendel wrote:Heck, I am a big Herb Alpert fan. gs, who bought and still owns the album involved. Somewhere in the depths of the basement, along with all the comic books.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.
