Spoiler
Here's an LSWE game I've been wanting to put together almost literally since the beginning of this series, and I've finally got it filled out to post! If this game isn't the definition of cool, I don't know what is...

1 point for the title, 1 point for the artist, 3 points for the theme...

1. So come on Jack be nimble, Jack be quick
Jack Flash sat on a candlestick
'cause fire is the devil's only friend

American Pie - Don McLean

2. Hold on to sixteen as long as you can
Changes come around real soon
Make us women and men

Jack and Diane - John Mellencamp

3. When all else fails and you long to be
Something better than you are today
I know a place where you can get away
It's called a dance floor, and here's what it's for

Vogue - Madonna

4. With my favorite jeans
And a cheap guitar
I ran off chasing a distant star
If Buddy Holly could make it that far
I figured I could too

5. Hey shout, summertime blues,
Jump up and down in my blue suede shoes

Rock On - David Essex

6. Little Rock, Pasternak,
Mickey Mantle, Kerouac

We Didn’t Start the Fire - Billy Joel

7. I'll need a credit card that's got no limit
And a big black jet with a bedroom in it
Gonna join the mile high club
At thirty-seven thousand feet

8. Wish for you on a falling star
Wondering where you are
Do I ever cross your mind
In the warm sunshine

9. Sugar plum fairy came and hit the streets
Looking for soul food and a place to eat
Went to the Apollo, you should have seen him go go go

Walk on the Wild Side - Lou Reed

10. Well I ain't first class
But I ain't white trash
I'm wild and a little crazy too

11. All this energy calling me
Back where it comes from
It`s such a crude attitude
It`s back where it belongs

Cleveland Rocks - Ian Hunter

12. Midnight, you come and pick me up, no headlights
Long drive, could end in burning flames or paradise

Theme?

Sonofabitch! The theme is songs that mention "James Dean" (or "Jimmy"). I was so focused on your comment about wanting to do this since the beginning of the series, that I glossed over the "definition of cool" part of it. I thought it was an LS-history-related theme. Then, I could not get movie songs to work. Nor TV songs. I re-read your intro while was running through lyrics in my head when the "James Dean" from "Rock On" jumped out at me. Good one!

Kroxquo Bonus: Name another song with artist that fits the theme of today's game.

American Boy - Chris Isaak (This was the theme song for "The Chris Isaak Show" on Showtime)

Image Bonus: If you know the theme, show me a fitting image!

I believe this is the death car.

Vogue - Madonna

4. With my favorite jeans
And a cheap guitar
I ran off chasing a distant star
If Buddy Holly could make it that far
I figured I could too
Texas In My Rear View Mirror - Mac Davis

5. Hey shout, summertime blues,
Jump up and down in my blue suede shoes
Rock On - Michael Damien (And some guy named David Essex)

6. Little Rock, Pasternak,
Mickey Mantle, Kerouac
We Didn't Start the Fire - Billy Joel

7. I'll need a credit card that's got no limit
And a big black jet with a bedroom in it
Gonna join the mile high club
At thirty-seven thousand feet
Rockstar - Nickelback (I hadn't heard this song in years [I'd even forgotten it fit the theme of the game until... well, I went looking for the songs last week]. And of course, I heard it on another bowler's radio at the lanes Friday night)

8. Wish for you on a falling star
Wondering where you are
Do I ever cross your mind
In the warm sunshine
Girl On TV - LFO (No, I didn't expect anyone to get this one... but it was somehow a Top 10 hit)

9. Sugar plum fairy came and hit the streets
Looking for soul food and a place to eat
Went to the Apollo, you should have seen him go go go
Walk On The Wild Side - Lou Reed

10. Well I ain't first class
But I ain't white trash
I'm wild and a little crazy too
Some Girls Do - Sawyer Brown (Mecca Radio earworm)

11. All this energy calling me
Back where it comes from
It`s such a crude attitude
It`s back where it belongs
Cleveland Rocks - Ian Hunter (The PotUSA version for The Drew Carey Show is what I ran across for the game...)

12. Midnight, you come and pick me up, no headlights
Long drive, could end in burning flames or paradise
Style - Taylor Swift

Theme? - All of these songs mention James Dean!

I always thought it was odd just how many songs ol' Jimmy Dean was mentioned in. I'd be shocked if there's a famous person who is name dropped in more songs from the rock and roll era. Anyway, I think "Rockstar" first put the bug in my head to try this game since it was getting overplayed to death on Mecca Radio in 2008-09, right around the time I started the LSWE. The only song on this list that's come out since "Rockstar" is the last one, "Style," which wasn't even in the song depository I searched to find my James Dean songs... but I had the nagging suspicion there was a recent Swift song with a JD nod, and remembered it in time to fill out my slate...

Kroxquo Bonus: Name another song with artist that fits the theme of today's game.

I intentionally left The Eagles song "James Dean" out of the game not just because it was so blatant, but to give those who knew it an easy Krox since I figured coming up with a 13th James Dean song was a lot to ask. For those who gave a valid non-Eagles Krox, though, I awarded an extra two points...

Image Bonus: If you know the theme, show me a fitting image!

I liked Weasel's nerdy picture of Hollywood's legend of cool and gave him the IBB. That's five different IBB winners in the first week, just how I like it...

No Kroxquo Bonus or Image Bonus? BTW, I'm proud of myself for figuring out the theme from just 4 songs, so I'll just pat myself on the back.

You faked me out!!! Since you didn't answer the theme question itself, i assumed the Krox and IB was just a throwaway like for the others who didn't know it. Your points have been adjusted with a JJC point added in for fun now...

Fixed it for you.

Damn it, the one time go for the obvious.... I had two other ones come to mind and should have taken the road less travelled. Lesson learned: It doesn't matter if it's a favourite, always go for the degree of difficulty. (You know, like I usually do and never get credit for it....ha!)

Thanks for bringing this up since I just realized I shorted jarnon yet again!!! See, there are people in this game who I actually rip off of real, legitimate, factual points!
