The former Senator from Pennsylvania died (fittingly) on the holiday he helped create to honor his friend Martin Luther King.
Harris Wofford, Former Senator, Civil Rights Activist, Dies At 92
Wofford also served in World War II, founded the Peace Corps with Sargent Shriver, worked in the Kennedy administration and Pennsylvania government, and was president of Bryn Mawr College.
