Mike called me yesterday......

#1 Post by ulysses5019 » Wed May 07, 2008 8:43 am

No, he wasn't soliciting votes for Pat Paulson. Nor was he a snake wrangler looking for work. He was calling to see if I wanted to interview for Deal or No Deal. I told him I didn't want to go to Estonia......
Actually, they are going to do a syndicated version. Howie will still be the host (I guess there's not much work out there for head-wearing latex glove comedians). The money is less, but they didn't say how much less. Just that they couldn't afford to give away a million dollars a day. I will go and interview. I will ask about the prime time version. I will ask about 1 vs 100 (I was sorta in that pool and he works on that show as well). I will ask about that mawg show I posted from craigslist. That is all.

I'd go to Estonia if they were footing the bill.

If it was for SyndieBAM, I'd go to Estonia and I'd foot the bill!

I never knew there were no snakes in Hawaii. That makes this state of incredible natural beauty even more attractive.

Having tramped through the wilds of Kauai, I thought of rain forests, which connects in my brain to snakes of Amazonian abundance.

According to this site, the blanket statement is not absolutely and completely true, however. Both brown tree snakes and boa constrictors have been introduced to the islands, possibly from hitchhiking in the wheel wells of airplanes.

How do we get on Mike's speed dial?

Lily, I will find out as much as I can including any possible out of state auditions. I know this show is not everyone's cup of tea but I'll post any relevant information for those who care.

Lily's mention of being on Mike's speed dial reminds me that I never applied to be on DoND. When I called him back he couldn't find my "application". I was going to be one of my b-i-l's supporters when he was on the show. And I did apply for 1 vs 100 along with that mawg craigslist show. So somehow I ended up in his rolodex. Same thing happened with Greed.

I'll have a cuppa any show that wants to give me money. I'm easy that way.

I read that the top prize was going to be $250,000, so you still could win a lot of money.
