RIP W.E.B. Griffin

#1 Post by silverscreenselect » Tue Feb 19, 2019 8:58 am

Best selling novelist of military fiction (real name William E. Butterworth III), including the Badge of Honor series and a series of sequels to the novel MASH written in the 1970s under his own name. Griffin knew his stuff; he enlisted in the army at age 17 and served in the Korean War. Like Stephen King with his Bachman books, Griffin wrote under multiple pen names because he thought publishers of that era wouldn't release multiple books by the same author in the same year.

Age 89.

I have read his series many, many times: The Corps, and Brotherhood of War. Didn't care for his cops series enough to get past the first book.
