Hitting the Big 35
I feel a bit guilty mentioning this in light of Bob's situation, but today marks our 35th anniversary. I consider myself very fortunate to have found a woman who shares so many of my views, from my political philosophy (which can be a bit much for some people) to my extreme cheapness (which can be a bit much for other people). And, she is gorgeous still and a really sweet person.
Last night, we went to one of those hibachi steakhouses where they chop up everything and grill it at your table. We were sitting next to a 40-something woman, pretty obviously a single mother, who brought her teenage daughter and the daughter's boyfriend for a birthday celebration. When we exchanged pleasantries, she commented how unusual it was to run into someone who's been married that long today. I consider myself very lucky.

Congrats, SSS. It really is unusual nowadays to last so long. Mrs SSS sounds like a fine person. We just celebrated 38 in Jan. Hope you have many more.
Well, then

Congrats to both of you. That is special these days.
..what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms.

Congratulations to both of you.
The traditional 35th anniversary gift is coral and the modern is Jade. Good luck with that!
