And it took months for all the coverage of Parkland to play out, and the students themselves were instrumental in keeping attention going. The Colorado shooting took place a week ago so the full story on this won't emerge for some time. Plus, it's sad but true that the more of these shootings that take place, the less media coverage there is. That's true of any type of news; the more commonplace it becomes, the less public interest there is.

But this one is not common place.

The less it furthers the left's agenda, the less interest there is of covering it.

This isn't the "left's" agenda; it's the degree of public interest. And it happens with all categories of news. When Apollo 11 went to the moon, everyone watched; when Apollo 13 went, they didn't even interrupt prime time TV to cover the broadcasts from the spacecraft because the public didn't care all that much any more... until the craft got in trouble, at which time it became "news" again.

Here's a Wikipedia list of mass shootings (at least four people shot in the same or related incidents) in the US in 2019 alone:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_m ... es_in_2019

As of this morning, there were 119 listed. And yes, you can quibble about the definitions of some of them, but the fact is that there's almost an incident a day somewhere in the United States. In 2018, there were 323 incidents. But unless one of them results in an exceptional number of deaths or injuries or occurs in a school or house of worship or similar situation, the media all but ignores it. If the left really had an "agenda" to publicize these incidents, we'd have nearly nonstop coverage of them every day. The public has become increasingly jaded about mass shooting incidents in general, meaning less media coverage in general.

Whether there is liberal bias is beside the point. You claimed they didn't give coverage to this story because of their liberal bias. It took about five seconds of effort on my part to prove you wrong, as usual, and as usual when you are proved wrong, you just launch into another irrelevant attack on me. You forgot to use the words "polly" and "batphone" this time, I guess because you were in too much of a hurry to come up with your usual non-witty witticisms.

Blame fatigue.
