Couldn't she even try to figure out the $250K question? Do the multiplication of the amounts times 300,000,000 people and see what the total amount is. They come out to $900 billion, $9 trillion, $90 trillion and $900 trillion. Maybe one of them sounds familiar as the size of the total debt. It's certainly a number which appears in the newspaper often enough.

The $50K and $100K are the surprisingly easy for that level, but the first $250K was incredibly difficult, imho. Is that something that is a known nugget?

Yep. It has come up before, I think even on Millionaire. For roughly this amount.

Or I imagined all that. Maybe it was in a stack one of us wrote for the group.

$25K: No clue. Better throw this to the audience.

$50K: Leaning toward Cooper, but I'd rather PAF at this level.

$100K: WOOHOO! Wheelhouse!

$250K: Switch!

$250K #2: Thank you, CNN! $10 trillion debt, 300 million U.S. residents... I said "around $30,000" before the choices came up, and there's $30,000.

So I'm going for $500,000 with my 50:50 still active.

Compared to that middle stack question about life expectancy we saw earlier this week, I thought the question writers were very generous making these choices an order of magnitude apart!

Bill and Christine did a pretty good job working together on that PAF question, but Christine might have given Bill a couple more seconds to give her his response!
