They recently opened some (legal) OTB places near me. I decided to try a bet with the Kentucky Derby, betting on Maximum Security -- and we all know how that went.
So, I decided to try the Preakness, though with a small wager on a longshot -- Bodexpress. Didn't take long for that to blow up (and his actions getting to and into the gate didn't foretell a good outcome, either).
Think I'll pass on betting any more on the horses.

Please place a lot of money on the Yankees.
No. A horse must carry a rider when it crosses the finish line. Without a rider, the horse gains an advantage by not having to carry an extra 120 lbs., or whatever a jockey weighs these days.kroxquo wrote:Just out of curiosity, if he had won, would it have counted?
