Payback isn't always a bitch

#1 Post by Bob78164 » Fri Jun 14, 2019 10:06 am

Remember Professor Amy Chua, who wrote an Op-Ed defending Kavanaugh's nomination? (This was before Dr. Blasey Ford's allegations were known to the public.) At the time, there was speculation that her motive was to secure a Supreme Court clerkship for her daughter.

Professor Chua's daughter said that wasn't possible: "I was college ROTC, attended YLS on Army Ed Delay, and am joining Active Duty JAG after circuit clerkship (wherever that will be!). Won't be applying to SCOTUS anytime soon bc will be in the Army." So her mother couldn't possibly have an ulterior motive in writing the piece.

Guess who's not joining the army after all because she's just been announced as one of Justice Kavanaugh's clerks for the upcoming year. --Bob

The batphone never stops. Could ut possibly be that the Professor actually thought Kavanaugh would be a good Justice?
From now on could you do us a favor and use the batphone to respond to a subject already being discussed and not create a new discussion based on the bullshit you get from it?
Your friendly neighborhood racist. On the waiting list to be a nazi. Designated an honorary 'snowflake'. Trolled by the very best, as well as by BJ. All thought comes from the right wing noise machine(TM)... A clear and present threat to The Future Of Our Democracy.. Doesn't understand anything... Made the trump apologist and enabler playoffs... Heathen bastard... Knows nothing about history... Liar.... don't know much about statistics and polling... Nothing at all about biology... Ignorant Bigot... Potential Future Pariah... Big Nerd... Spiraling, Anti-Trans Bigot.. A Lunatic AND a Bigot.. Very Ignorant of the World in General... Sounds deranged... Fake Christian... Weird... has the mind of a child... has paranoid delusions... As long as the simple minded are among us, Trump will never have to worry about falling below 30%.

As long as dems keep up the March of the Marionettes it won't matter.
Well, then

Oh. A tip. When scraping barrel bottoms use a plastic utensil. You'll get more tidbits.

You've missed the point. A young lawyer appears to have lied in order to impact an issue of public discussion. She could easily have remained silent. After telling this apparent lie, she received a Supreme Court clerkship. As a lawyer who takes the truth seriously, I find this problematic. Just how do you think swamps happen? --Bob

I applied for clerkships (though not for the Supreme Court) when I was in law school. She would have applied for the position last fall, not long after Kavanaugh was confirmed, and therefore not long after her tweet. --Bob

I will fix it for him.

When he said " As a lawyer who takes the truth seriously...."

He meant "As a lawyer whose life's worth is tied up in completely irrelevant tactical politics."

You simply can't find a more irrelevant topic to validate your self-worth than the original topic of this post-but Bob does Bob, I guess.
