Thank you all for trying to help me win that Southwest Airlines contest.

I got rather stompped in the voting in the end.

On the bright side, I still get to go to Vegas for four days anyway starting on the 11th.

Yeah--I could tell that someone called in the heavy artillery after you built a good lead. :(

I got my voucher from Dockers a few weeks ago, and they keep sending me all these free room offers after my stay at Paris (but all in December, which would work if I didn't have a hundred kids), so I'll try to get back as soon as I can, for cheap...

December is the best time to go to Vegas if you want to go on the cheap. Room rates and airfares are cut up to 50% on some dates. Some of my other friends are going for a weekend then and the airfare and hotel is only $215 per person.

They're offering a free room at the Rio for 3 nights and 50 bucks in food, plus 50 in cash, and I just can't go. Christmas and birthdays and stuff.

*sigh*

Plus free slot tournaments...

You finally got the voucher? Cool! Now let us know if you get anything like the city and schedule you want when you try to book a flight. IIRC, it was pretty much whatever they wanted to give you.

And if you're considering Vegas in early December and care about seeing the shows, be sure to check their schedules. Some of those take breaks in between the holidays.

Next time, maybe we need to do it like some bid on e-bay. You know, all at once at the end so no one can take action to fight us off.

This time tomorrow I'll be on a plane to Vegas for three days. Two nights for two people at the Hard Rock for $249.
