RIP Grandma Florie

#1 Post by Bob78164 » Sun May 18, 2008 12:37 am

My grandmother died this evening. By all accounts, she was ready and in no pain. Funeral arrangements are pending and I'll be flying to New York to attend. --Bob

I am so sorry Bob.

But to know she was at peace with it all is very comforting.

Hugs to you and your loved ones.

It looks like the funeral will be Tuesday or Wednesday. My aunt is pushing for Monday (which would be consonant with Jewish tradition but enormously inconvenient for at least one of my sisters and my oldest niece, who is in the middle of finals) to save a few thousand dollars in "storage" charges (ghoulish, I know, but the financial concern is real), but was willing to delay if I planned to fly out for the funeral. Which I am, of course. We'll find the extra money. --Bob
