Small World stuff

#1 Post by peacock2121 » Sat Oct 27, 2007 11:16 am

So, I call that number mini posted about the person looking for former BAM contestants. I left a message. They called back. It was for the husband of the couple.

We're talking and I mention Dutchess County - he says "You live in Dutchess County? I say yes. He says he lived in Wappinger Falls. I say no way! I graduated from Roy C Ketcham High School (It is in Wappingers). He says So did I? I say when He says 1969, I say 1973! Holy Crap!

Anyhow, he is going up (he is down by mini) for an audition on Wednesday. I sent him the url for here and mac's site. He is going to ask for the questions on the application. He is going to ask for any info we think would help.

Let's have him win!

I asked you about the Rockies blowing chunks in this thread. It was a mistake. I wanted to start a new thread and hit the wrong button.

He is very sweet - he wants to do all he can before going up - to prepare.

I wasn't scared.

I missed that one.

Was he a financial planner looking for business leads?

Dang, it's been a loooooooong time, don't remember exactly. That was almost certainly it, although IIRC not his stated reason.

He needs to wear a costume that makes him not look like a MAWG.

So he really was looking for a former contestant to give him auditioning advice? Cool!

And bonus cool about the high school connection. You lose just a fraction of a point because he graduated the year before you started there, but aside from that--wow! 8)

I think he is wise to make all the preparations he can. And I'm glad he wasn't a "creepy stalker" or someone looking for an interview for a scurrilous book.
