Cicadas

They're crazy right now. Batting about, screaming, doing the cicada thing. Boomer keeps chomping on those alit on the ground. I'm sure his tummy has flutters.

We have a bunch here. Friend and I walked over to a park a week ago and they sang louder as we went through their neighborhood, like they were warning the next bunch we were coming.

They're making a racket here in Colorado! I mean really loud -- I bet they're outside the town's decibel limits.

Several years ago, when I was in Nashville when the 13-year cicadas and 17-year ones emerged, the sidewalks were slick with them. When I left, I could hear them over the traffic noise on the Interstate.
