I don't know the rationale for Rob Lowe being the answer to 38., but that appears to be incorrect. I can't find a correct answer from those few breadcrumbs in the clue, though.

That's one answer I have no doubt about! The incident was notorious at the time.

If my Bonnie and Clyde match is correct, the first actor (in this case Warren Beatty as Clyde) played one of the title characters. The actor who played the other title character (Faye Dunaway as Bonnie) appeared in one of the movies on the list. And the second actor (Dorothy Province) played the same character (Bonnie) in a different film.

If this is a match, then this is where I went off track. Because the Bonnie Parker played by Dorothy Provine was the same Bonnie Parker played by Faye Dunaway, I assumed that, in all cases, the character was the same and not just the name.
