There is a neighboring family with 3 smallish children (8 and under) with one cat for each kid.
About 6 weeks ago, a very tame cat showed up at the farm and started making itself at home. Very tame and we worried it would get run over. After a time period we found out where it belonged and it has been a frequent job to run the cat over to the grandparents' house (they live close to the kids in question) as it keeps showing up.
Apparently, the cat belongs to the youngest daughter (3 or 4 YO)-I told the grandma that she needs to be told that your kitty loves somebody else now and it doesn't love you anymore-yeah, that would go over well.
The grandma mentioned that they give the cat chopped liver and so forth.
Hey, the little girl is learning firsthand the meaning of the phrase "What am I? Chopped liver?"
