Fox News issued an on-air apology yesterday for including MLB Hall of Famer and ex-Phillies star Frank Thomas on its celebrity obituary list for 2023. The error apparently occurred when the network confused Thomas with an early-20th century player of the same name who died earlier this year.

Or maybe they thought he had OD'd on too much Nugenix.

The Phillies player Frank Thomas is the one who passed away this year in January. He only played 73 games for the Phils in '64 (stupid Gene Mauch) and '65. He played most of his career with Pittsburgh and was one of the original Mets in '62.

Hall of Famer Frank Thomas (whose picture was included in the memorium) aka "The Big Hurt" played most of his career with the White Sox with short stints with Toronto and Oakland.
