The Dallas BB Fest a few years ago

#1 Post by TheCalvinator24 » Sun Oct 28, 2007 1:06 pm

Mrs. Calvinator and I were trying to remember who all came to the Dallas BBFest at Sonny Bryan's & Bennigans a few years ago. I couldn't remember who all was there.

The ones I definitely recall are:

Skoop
hermillion
otherindigo
andrewjackson

Pathetic, I know that I can't remember who all else was there.

I'm crushed. Crushed, I tell you. Although it was all a bit frenetic at times.

Skoop's Mom. We were there for me to present a paper on baseball at a philosophy of sport conference.

That was 3 years ago. I mean, come one, I've slept many times since then.

I hope more than one came in all those sleepings you did in the last three years.

Sorry - it just made me laugh and laugh.

I must have been on my best behavior.

I'll never let that happen again.

I spent a month with those three one weekend. I'm astounded you don't remember meeting them.

Actually, the best explanation for my faulty memory is the imbibing of adult beverages. Mrs. Cal even had to drive home that night.

AH!! Now I understand. I wasn't a drinker before that weekend, either. They are bad girls and made me do bad things. Somehow, strange shoes ended up in my suitcase. And a lime...

Well! Now I know what happened to my lime. If I get scurvy, it's all t-girl's fault.

Speaking of limes, Bennigans makes some of the worst Margaritas I've ever had in my life.

After a weekend with those bad girls, there is no such thing as a bad margarita.

Trust me. Their Margaritas are awful. Bordering on undrinkable.

An undrinkable Margarita?? OH, the humanity. That bartender should be shot.

BTW, your girls are darling, and I love, love the Mike punkin!

I don't think it was just the one bartender. I've tried a couple of different Bennigans, and I think their Margarita mix is just bad.

The Mike pumpkin looked even better with his arms and legs attached.

What did you use for those?

IIRC, it was the "accordion paper" streamers with construction paper hands and feet attached.

I know it was more substantial than crepe paper.
