I'm responding just to prove that I am unable to deny mini's feminine wiles, and will slavishly obey her slightest whim.

No, mini/Lurking Bill asked where you were hiding and since Lurking Bill/mini said she didn't do PMs, I thought that was an opportunity to get him/her to do so. But I don't think he/she read it. :(

Not so fast, there! I'll give you correct state, but I quit following baseball before the Rockies came into existence, I gave up on hockey when the strike season happened and my football team is the Raiders. Ha!

As to 33, we've been through this before. It was Larry Bird's number long before it was Patrick Roy's number!

Is that anything like Chicken Tortilla soup?

Here's a great slow cooker recipe that's easy. Just put all the ingredients except the tortillas in a slow cooker and come back 6-8 hours later. Garnish with avocados and sour cream. Yum!

COOK TIME 8 Hrs

Original recipe yield: 8 serving

INGREDIENTS

* 1 pound shredded, cooked chicken
* 1 (15 ounce) can whole peeled tomatoes, mashed
* 1 (10 ounce) can enchilada sauce
* 1 medium onion, chopped
* 1 (4 ounce) can chopped green chile peppers
* 2 cloves garlic, minced
* 2 cups water
* 1 (14.5 ounce) can chicken broth
* 1 teaspoon cumin
* 1 teaspoon chili powder
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
* 1 bay leaf
* 1 (10 ounce) package frozen corn
* 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
* 7 corn tortillas
* vegetable oil (I use olive oil)

DIRECTIONS

1. Place chicken, tomatoes, enchilada sauce, onion, green chiles, and garlic into a slow cooker. Pour in water and chicken broth, and season with cumin, chili powder, salt, pepper, and bay leaf. Stir in corn and cilantro. Cover, and cook on Low setting for 6 to 8 hours or on High setting for 3 to 4 hours.
2. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
3. Lightly brush both sides of tortillas with oil. Cut tortillas into strips, then spread on a baking sheet.
4. Bake in preheated oven until crisp, about 10 to 15 minutes. To serve, sprinkle tortilla strips over soup

Frequency is one of the greatest movies ever! I remember carrying on and on about it in the GC a few years ago. When it hit the HBO circuit after its theater run I still had premium cable and watched it over and over and over again. When it was taken out of the rotation, I broke down and bought the DVD. I've even copied it just in case my original gets broken or stops playing or whatever, and I never make backup copies of anything (even after I lost everything in a computer crash. I guess I just like living on the edge. Ha!).

Even now, I start to tear up as soon as Dennis Quaid
Spoiler
is shown after he shoots the serial killer and you see that he's managed to make it to middle/older age.
Which turns into full out bawling as soon as that dumb Garth Brooks song starts up, and I don't even like Garth Brooks!

For those who haven't seen it, the premise is 'sorta' along the lines of Back to the Future, but about 3056733 gazillion times better (and, dont get me wrong, I like Back to the Future).

To me, the entire movie encompasses my concept of reincarnation: Keep doing it over until you get it right.
Then you must really love Groundhog Day.
Groundhog Day was the day my ROF episode aired. Blech.

A) FOUR PLACES I GO OVER AND OVER:

- Hockey rinks in general, and the local venue in particular. If my kids ain't playing, I'm still watching. And if I ain't watching, I'm working. (Wait...that didn't come out right. At least I'm not a ref...)
- Best Buy. Although it usually involves window-shopping.
- The in-laws. That family has more birthday parties than I thought possible. And, of course, a game of sheepshead always seems to develop at some point during the afternoon...
- School. Between concerts, track, cross-country, etc, etc...

B) FOUR PEOPLE WHO PM ME:

I am not one to PM and tell...

C) FOUR FOODS I LIKE:

- Pizza. Especially from a couple of local establishments. Sausage and green olives are a must.
- Chicken-fried steak. As well as chicken-fried chicken.
- Mint chocolate-chip ice cream.
- Deep fried cheese curds. The good ones are guaranteed to take five years off of your life, and are worth every second. The bad ones? Impostors, I tell you.

D) FOUR PLACES WHERE I'D RATHER BE:

- Miller Park, watching the Brewskis.
- Athletic Park, watching the Woodchucks.
- At a blackjack table, with a big honkin' pile of green chips in front of me.
- In the Hot Seat, or behind a podium (preferably podium #1). In either case, looking into a video camera with a red light on top.

E) FOUR PEOPLE WHO I THINK WILL RESPOND:

Geoffil, Lily, 10S and mmff (along with "others" who have already posted to the thread)

F) FOUR MOVIES THAT I WOULD WATCH OVER AND OVER:

- Miracle
- The Rookie
- Used Cars
- The Right Stuff
"Again" - Herb Brooks (as played by Kurt Russell)
