Luckily not IN my house.

But it did startle my husband since he saw it on the sidewalk while mowing the lawn..

I wish my kids would catch up to downloading photos (their job) so I could change my avatar a few times. I still owe lb one.

Not to start any rumors, but I bet that shineysilvercar person mailed it to you.

I got a 4 foot black snake that lives in my shed - wanna trade?

I was about to write that we have a hamburger joint around here that serves those. Then I saw that you found it on the sidewalk and I wondered, did someone throw it up? Finally, I got to jaybee's reply and went back and re-read the subject line. Not milkshake.

Nevermind.

Milk snake? New one on me, but I don't know a lot about snakes.

Oh, milk snakes are beautiful:

Remember: Red touch black, venom lack. Red touch yellow, kill a fellow!

We don't have any milk snakes, but we do have a very nice 5-foot corn snake named Cleo! This isn't her, but she looks a lot like this:

I'll see if I can get a pic of the real Cleo when Leah's home -- I don't want to try to handle her & pose her for a photo by myself because I'm down with a back injury & wouldn't be able to catch her if she made a break for it!

It took me to now to realize that this thread said "2ft. Milksnake", and not 2ft. Milkshake".....

I guess I shoulda figured there was a snake thread somewhere since uly had another new avatar....

Probably has something to do with sharing a birthday. :D

I have a bottle of some kind of alcoholic beverage from Vietnam that has a small cobra in it. I can't stand to look at it, and my former cleaning lady was scared to death of it. :D

At first I thought the title of this thread was milkshake.

[Indiana Jones]Snakes! Why did it have to be snakes?"[/IJ]

Or, my favorite quote:

[Sulla]Asps! Very dangerous. You go first, Indy.[/sulla]

I was still sure she was talking about a milkshake.

Even after she saw it on her sidewalk.

I pictured a human billboard person walking down the street advertising the tall milkshake.

I thought it was a two-foot milkshake, too. Imagine my disappointment.

My son was going to go into the attic to get his fog machine out for movie special effects, but when he pulled down the trapdoor thingy, there was a two-foot-long snake skin on the steps. Evidently corn snakes or rat snakes, as they're called hereabouts, like to get into attics here and in NC.

We figured it must be baked good and hard by now, since it's been in the 90's (except when starfish was here we set a record low!) and the attic is stifling. I like snakes, but not above head level. I don't want them getting the drop on me....
