I missed the very first q of the month (you'd think I know which one it was a boa or a python as it relates to Kipling) and I'm now digging myself out of a hole. It doesn't help that my connection is slow when it comes to sploofus. Well, that's my excuse.ne1410s wrote:I missed both questions before today. I was 8k something out of 43k...I must have missed quicker than others!!

I am #34 right now...I know that'll go down quickly, but it's my first appearance in the top 100.
Oh yeah...my question was about who was in the Cola Wars - Coke and ?
I've had easy questions so far this month (like for many seconds are in a minute).

Enough already. It's my fault! Get over it!

In what year was the armistice signed ending the Korean War?
No tricks. Only one answer available in the early 1950s.
Yesterday was: for which sport/event was the Fosbury Flop devised? I clicked on the answer immediately but it said I answered in 4 seconds or some such.
I like it when they start us off easyish, but have given up on the bonus points matching real time.

I clicked on the correct answer at about 20 seconds and was blipped off to an error screen again.
This morning I was informed that in order to get my wagering tokens, I had to upgrade.
So I complimented the error screen on its Most Excellent method of extracting payment from Sploofus fans.
It is now extremely unlikely that I will ever move up from 13,000 or wherever I am.

Pretty silly how pleased I am with myself.
Of course you knocked PSM out of the hot 100.
Sorry about that PSM.
But then you have been there alot more than I have.
It is my maiden visit!

I'm hanging on at 33 for the moment. I think I was 21 when I originally answered at 7:00 am CDT.
Definitely faster answering on my home computer rather than on my work computer. I'll have to make sure to answer before I leave home each morning.
GoTribeGo is at 99 right now. He probably won't be on the visible list for long. Nitrah is just above that at 96.
Ritterskoop, christie, rexer, and silvercamaro should stick around for a while. If there are other BBs on the visible list, I apologize for missing you.

I think it just improves your overall ranking.fantine33 wrote:I do a lot of quizzes (today was a good day, 3 100% and 1 90%, on a Night Ranger question of all things!), but I've never seen a leaderboard for that. Where is it?NellyLunatic1980 wrote:I have now jumped into #93 for the month in trivia quizzes.
I can't access it from work right now, though, so I can't see. On the left when you sign in, there are assorted clickable menus for things. I think the Leaderboards are about two-thirds toward the right.

If you haven't already discovered it, the first link on your Sploofus Space, called Your Sploofus Command Center, is very useful for statistics, rankings, etc.
And if you haven't issued any Showdown Challenges, you're missing out on a good way to leapfrog up the Leaderboard for overall points. I'm currently #396 in overall points, but I was #375 earlier this week. I just took too long to remember that Caledonia was the Ancient Roman Empire name for Scotland, on a Showdown Challenge of my own.
