$4K: No clue. ATA.
$16,000
Which of the following is not the name of a team in the WNBA?
A. Detroit Shock B. Seattle Storm
C. Atlanta Surge B. Chicago Sky
Having just been in Atlanta, I know that their WNBA team is the Dream, not the Surge.

$25K: I can eliminate A and C, but that's it. I better PAF.

$50K: IIRC, Harding's election occured in the same year that the amendment in question was on the ballot. So that eliminated him as women could not vote until the election after it was ratified. It's a matter of whether Coolidge's mother or Hoover's mother was still alive at the time of the 1924 and 1928 elections. Since I have no clue, I'm gonna STQ.

$50K #2: I got this one before the choices came up.

$100K: Wheelhouse!

So I'd be going for $250K with the 50:50 remaining.

The "voting mother" question was devious. One could fall into the trap of picking the mother of the first president who ran after the amendment was ratified, but no reason she had to be alive at the time. I feel like this was one of those questions designed to make you use up your STQ quickly.

I probably would have used my ATA on the WNBA question and hoped for a clear spike. It's a good PAF question, but I'd prefer to try and use the ATA before its value expires (as we get to the higher level clues). The Stonewall Jackson and Brownian motion questions are things I just happen to know.
