Our new babies!

#1 Post by hermillion » Mon Jun 30, 2008 2:22 pm

I couldn't get this to show as an image in my message, so my avatar is the three fussy, fuzzy babies in my back yard.

Either one was hiding when we peeked earlier, or we've had an additional hatch.

We're supposed to say that all babies are beautiful, but that's not really the truth, here. :P

They are robin babies, and we get to see mama feeding and caring for them. I'd love to get a pic of her, too, but she flies off every time I open the back door. To get this photo, I climbed up on my kitchen stool and held the camera above the nest. The babies heard me moving and immediately began demanding to be fed.

As for "beautiful babies" -- we have a long-time friend who, before he finally became a daddy himself at age 42 -- had a tough time knowing what to say when new parents shared photos of their own darlings. He finally settled on, "You must be so proud!" and, "That's some baby!" Both said it all, without saying anything. :D

[Oblivious new parent voice] Thanks, Marley! I knew you'd think so, too! [/onpv]
