I, too, was surprised to like Ty a lot. I asked him does he look over the puzles in the morning, and he said he gets them the night before, and works them. So he know exactly what pitfalls to watch for, and is not just an actor reading cue cards out there. They tell you he's got your back, and I saw several examples of it.

On air he is a little chirpy to me, but that is better than being too flat, I guess.
