This weeks rankings- Less tricks, more treats edition

#1 Post by littlebeast13 » Thu Nov 01, 2007 1:41 am

With this edition, the rankings moves into a new territory, doing something that hasn't been done since the rankings were in Eyegor's hands at the turn of the millennium. After displaying the Top 50 since January of 2001, the rankings are expanding to the Top 100 posters on a regular basis! Plus, while I won't promise that the rankings will be posted every week, I do intend to at least try to put the "week" back in This weeks rankings. Also, I may do the expanded rankings (everyone with 300+ posts) more often, possibly once a month...

Bolding and italics for the Top 50 will now be accurate as of this week. Bolding and italics and up or down movement for the last half of the Top 100 will go into effect starting with next week's rankings....

I knew it!

You read the Bored Buddy Book thread about FlyBrick's book jumping from #781,123 to #90,000 in the Amazon ranking and it inspired you to greater efforts. :D

Seeing so many of those names makes me wonder what happened in people's lives that they are no longer here.

Rats! Out of the top 10. Maybe that will be inspiration to get back to posting more.
No matter where you go, there you are.

I don't like moving down in the rankings. I really need to start being more verbose. I do have a question but I will post it in another thread. Just because.

I am truly astonished. I had figured that no matter how long Barb stayed away and no matter how much I posted, I would never pass her in the totals. I never even asked how far behind her I was, because I thought the gap would be so large that I didn't want to know.

If only through attrition, I hope to move into double digits someday. Any idea how far down I am, LB??

Thanks as always for doing this, LB.

All this talk about post counts slipping and games being resurrected has got me thinking about Seven Clues again.

I'll post the rules and a sample game here in a minute.
-- In Iroquois society, leaders are encouraged to remember seven generations in the past and consider seven generations in the future when making decisions that affect the people.
-- America would be a better place if leaders would do more long-term thinking. -- Wilma Mankiller
