There are also some riverboat casinos just down the road in Tunica, MS if you like that sort of thing. I have donated some money there myself.

You could actually go months without seeing anyone back here. In the garage and the door closes before you get out of the car. So we get the cul-de-sac to ourselves for baseball and bike rides...

BB special deal! $8k, and I'll personally tell your neighbors where to kiss it.

My niece would seriously love it, but her parents would shoot me for showing it to her. She'll be 18 this summer, but there's the whole airbag issue to consider...

The lack of back seat seatbelts might be an issue for the parents of her friends as well! At least I think there aren't any.

What a marvelous thread!

I have a couple of songs to add:

Time Is Tight - Booker T and the MGs. My all-time favorite driving song. Can't beat that bass line.

MUST have something by Wynonie Harris. Elvis snuck in to see him perform.

My personal favorite is Grandma Plays the Numbers but if you can't get that, either Good Rockin' Tonight (later covered by Elvis) or Drinking Wine, Spodeeo-o-dee is a good choice.

One of the eight million songs with a Bo Diddley beat (although you could have an entire eight-disc set of these! :D).

Maybe Bo Diddley itself, or Buddy Holly's Not Fade Away (although Rave On is one of my two favorite Holly songs) or any version of Who Do You Love.

Chuck Berry's Brown-Eyed Handsome Man.

And seconding hermillion's Sixty Minute Man.

Also, this is very helpful for the future. I am printing everything out and putting it in a folder.

Two of the things on our Bucket List are a long, lazy road trip to Memphis and a drive on Route 66.

Can we buy copies of this CD? :D

When is the big trip to Memphis?

And are you going, or just Da Boyz?

We'll be there the night of the 25th, to see a RedBirds game en route to the Gulf Coast and Dauphin Island, before our cruise.

Not going...it's a dude's-only trip. 8) They'll just miss you - heading west probably on the 27th or 28th.

Where are you going on your cruise?

Cruise is a cheapie Carnival this time, since it's all 5 of us -- hitting Cozumel and Calica. In Cozumel we've booked a new excursion -- supposed to be the equivalent of The Amazing Race. We'll see...
