Some good news???

I'm sorry to hear so many people got the sad card. Hopefully, there will be better news as the summer wears on.
In the meantime, I was in LA for a couple of days and returned to only one item in my mailbox -- A HAPPY CARD! I am now officially swimming in the pool once again after a 7.5 year drought since my first appearance in the Ring of Fire on 2/4/01.
As far as the taped interview, yes, I did get the second, taped interview.

I think my second interview was achieved for two possible reasons:
#1 -- When I want/need to be, I can be pretty effervescent. I think that was the case during the brief first interview. Plus, because I was really excited to pass the test, it was not forced excitement.
#2 -- I coach figure skating and badminton, two things that are pretty unusual so perhaps they figured that would be something Meredith would find interesting should I make the show. I'm passionate about both and gave up a "real" job in order to continue coaching. That probably came through as well, particularly in the second interview.
Another thing that might help people waiting for the first interview is to listen carefully while other people are interviewing. I wasn't that close to them, but I could hear a few of the questions asked. Gave me time to formulate answers should I be asked the same thing. Nothing out of the ordinary was asked (what would you do with the money, tell me about yourself, etc.), but thinking about it may have helped be more coherent in a very short time.
Hope that helps anybody with auditions still coming up.
P.S. Still can't figure out how to do quotes properly so that is why this looks odd.

You're missing the closing quote tag, which looks like [ /quote ] without the spaces inside. If you use the Quote button to respond, that should already be there and you just have to be careful not to delete it, if you delete other parts of the quoted text.
Likewise, you can highlight some text with your mouse and hit the Quote button that's up above the text window with the other tag buttons.
