Thank you, everyone for the good wishes :D!

And, AD, a special thanks for the fried cheese curds.

Mother of God, what a weekend it was! So much so that we are actually celebrating next week.

Not completely, actually -- we did grill a couple of nice steaks and I made a wonderful crab salad (recipe from Cooking Light).

I cannot remember if I posted this already - I know I discussed it in chat - but with part of her house money, TLAF wanted to buy a laptop.

Boonie & I bought a nice, basic laptop (CD/DVD record and wireless card) and brought it down. We set her up with the wireless, she sent a couple of emails, we downloaded a couple of pictures. She is excited. Boonie was amused.

TLAF will use this for games (on disk) and basic emails and Internet. ("I'm not going into those chat places or anything. I don't want to pick up anyone.")

The kid at Best Buy was saying, "But what about downloading music? And it doesn't have a webcam!"

Kid, trust us, she's almost 91 YO. She doesn't need a webcam. And she can listen to her Glenn Miller and Ink Spots CDs on the drive.

On Sunday, when we got home, Boonie & I took his brother out to dinner for his birthday.

Because of Boonie's surgery & rehab, we are three months behind on taking his brother out to dinner for his birthday.

So, next weekend, we go to Cape May, get a couple of FLAX tee shirts for my present and have a lovely meal. Some sort of seafood.
