No wonder I can't get a reservation.

I've eaten at the Carrabba's in The Woodlands. I think that's the only time I've ever eaten there. Possibly at some restaurant along 45 in what could be considered The Woodlands.

Carrabba's was good as I remember. It was about 4 years ago.
No matter where you go, there you are.

Pomegranate Margerita coming up!

But it is a little early for you left coast people. Would you prefer a Sparkling Christie instead?

Well, well, well. Lemme see.

Depending on what you want, we have all the chains; some good chains.
Steak-I'd go to Perry's, but lotsa people like Kirby's or Fleming's. They're both overpriced and we, at the casa Beebs, make better steaks. But we're in the throes of deck-fixing so nobody is invited over now. Nothing personal mind you.

Italian-The Grotto in Market Street (I've heard it's really good). Amerigo's in Grogan's Park--has been here forever and is an actual "Woodlands" restaurant. I haven't been in awhile but it was always really good.
If you like really informal Italian there's a place called Pallotta's Italian Grill on the I-45 feeder (east side) across from Woodlands Mall. They're local and also have a place called The Black Walnut Cafe.
Well, then

It's gotta be beerthirty somewhere.

Thanks Beebs,

My husband is going to Texas for work and wanted to take my parents out to a nice steak place. They are older and don't like to take long drives, so he wanted a place close by their house. They have only been to PF Changs and Pot Bellies and I took them to Taste of Texas (which they thought was at the end of the earth) and Pappasitos (why can't both places open up in Chicago?).

Houston has great places to eat.

If they're looking for steak, chops and that sort of thing, I really would go to Perry's. It's in the Sterling Ridge Village Center. They're a local Houston company/family-have other locations, started out as butchers--it's not cheap but it's way better (I think) than Kirby's or Fleming's. If they like pork chops, get the five-finger wide grotesquerie that will feed you for a week. It's unbelievable.
Well, then
