First Official Pajama Party Chat

#1 Post by silvercamaro » Sat Nov 03, 2007 9:10 am

As mentioned briefly in other threads, a group of us felt the need last night to investigate the communicative possibilities and prospective technical problems of our new chat feature. We're scientists, we are. Anyway, the event deserves memorialization, for the sake of bored history, as the first official Pajama Party Chat with late hours and many participants.

Among those who took part (and stayed up way too late) were Kay, Hermillion, Odyssey, Beebs, 5LD, PSM, Melly, Rexer, and me. We laughed, we learned, we leaned, we planned, we swore, Kay taught us a new Dutch word, and an adult beverage was at hand for at least one of us. (Okay, that would be me, but it was only Bailey's Irish Cream in my coffee. Yum.) It was an excellent evening!

I haven't been up that long today because of that late night into the wee hours of the morning! Lots of fun and I feel I know you all much better. Special thanks to you, SC. I felt like you were my guide, always taking time to introduce me to others or let me in on private jokes. I appreciated it much !

Because I hadn't seen your name often, I hadn't learned much about you before last night -- where you were from, or even whether you were male or female. (She's all girl, for anybody else who was uncertain.) I was delighted to discover that you are, indeed, a perfect fit for this group. It's great to have you here!

Cindy, we'll do it again. You know we will! We all need to adjust to your moving around the global time zones one more time.

Was that fun or what? And Odyssey are you a trooper or what?

Hee hee hee.

How late did y'all stay up? I had to go let Beebs in and out and lost too much keeping track to stay.
Well, then

I think I packed it in about 12:30AM central. There were still a few left but I dunno how long they lasted.

We did officially induct Odyssey into the madness. And she's here this morning, so that's good sign. :)

Thank you, thank you. I actually closed it out about twenty to two. Is there an award for last one standing in the chat room?

We'll have to have a Hall of Fame...sorta like the one they have for the
Millionaire game on the bored. :D

You're first on the list.

Wow, I am honored. I have never been in a Hall of Fame for anything. Looks like I found my true niche--endurance chat!

What a blast that was! Lots of banter, a few minor curse words and friendly name calling, several guffaws and snorts. All in all, a rousing good time.

Let's do this again!

And a fine time was had by all -- even though I had to leave much earlier than I wanted.
