If those who see the show early in the day spot any familiar names among the winners, please post a heads-up notice for the rest of us! :)

Or even for the winners! Not all of us can watch the show, or can easily record it for later viewing.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

For some reason the site wouldn't let me register for this contest when I tried a couple of weeks ago, it kept saying I wasn't 18. But I was 18. I tried to register in late September. After my September 8th Birthday. :(

Spoiler
They are also giving the contestants the first 5 questions - everyone starts with the 1K. Were we told that would be happening?

The names have already been posted, in the order they were announced, in the transcript threads, but I'll copy the list into this thread, too, as they're published on the web.

Kathrine A. Rancho Cucamonga, CA
Francine B. Greenport, NY
Eric B. Sun Prairie, WI
Frank B. Knightdale, NC
Rick B. Rockaway, NJ
Raymond B. Fresno, CA
Frances C. Emeryville, CA
Patricia C. Rehoboth, MA
Tammy D. Fruita, CO
Frank G. Ellisville, MO
Christy H. Dover, NH

Curious that they announced the full name on the show, televised to millions, but they're only listing the last initial here, presumbably for privacy reasons.

Does that mean we should redefine "llama" for this week only? There are some prime candidates on today's show, regardless of how many free questions they were given.

TPTB have obviously declared this to be a "Llama-free Week" by this temporary rules changes.

Even if some of the lucky contestants are llama-worthy.

The contestants this week may not be anything to write about, but one of the sweepstakes winners got a blurb in his paper today.

One more sweepstakes winner got a blurb in his local paper.

http://www.fresnobee.com/columnists/ben ... 85735.html
Who wants to be a thousand-aire? Fresno's Raymond Bustamantes is $1,000 richer today because of the syndicated game show "Who Wants to be a Millionaire." The 1,000th episode of the show is being marked by 100 viewers getting $1,000 each.

Bustamantes was in the list of the first 20 winners announced Monday on the show that airs on KFSN, Channel 30.

Yeah, what's up with that? Only two days left for a BB to break through. After all, we probably entered more times per person than the average individual.

It's sad, but not surprising.

There might have been a hundred of us BB entering regularly. The contest ran about twenty days, so that's 2,000 entries for all of us.

How many tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of entries came from everyone else? We're just being overwhelmed by numbers.

This is a far different contest from the Million Dollar Buddy and Yeti Summer Getaway contests, where we could get to the top of the list by actually answering questions correctly.

<sigh>

At least TPTB are getting much better demographic diversity here than they do in their contestant casting...

We should move to Florida. The winners seem to come from that state more often than others, such as Illinois.

When Millionaire has it's 2000th episode does that mean it will give away 2000 dollars to 200 people and remove the 2000 dollar question too? :)

If so, what will they do on episode 1 Million? :D

Dang. I'm still hoping that SOMEONE from the Bored gets one of these paydays. We deserve it. We really do. At least Timsterino should win! ;-)

As for all the Florida winners, I'm guessing that all the retirees down there have more time to watch the show and enter sweepstakes.
