Job concerns update

#1 Post by JBillyGirl » Mon Nov 05, 2007 7:16 pm

Well, it seems I may have overreacted about work. A bit. There was no fallout today from my project-delaying mistake. One boss didn't come in today, and the other one seemed to kind of laugh at the situation. Nothing was really made of it, though it might come up at a future production meeting. Maybe I've been doing better than before, I don't know, but it appears not to be quite as big a deal as I thought. I was just worried given my recent history at work.

Meanwhile, I am working like hell to get this stage of the project wrapped up tomorrow. I hope they can see that I'm working hard to make things right.

As I've said before, you guys are the greatest. I knew I could come to you all for support, and you came through in spades. Thanks to all of you, especially to Catfish, who tried so hard to track me down and give me a shoulder to lean on. (I'll PM you later.) May all your troubles be equally ephemeral.

I am very glad that things are not as dire as you thought.

So glad to hear it was a bigger deal in your head than it was in reality.

Keep on learning.

When you've been bitten as many times as you have, Jess, it's hard to believe some PTB might actually be a little understanding. It sounds like you're taking a healthy approach to this, too. Congrats for the good news.
