That was nice of 'em. Only one of these actors was in the movie.

Try process of elimination -- Paper plane is impossible. Same with paraglider. Jetpack, I dunno. That requires a human pilot, and I don't think a human can maintain the necessary strength and alertness required to operate a jetpack for the length of such a long flight. Model airplane, final answer.

Only the rich kids had this at my school.

By any means necessary. OK, JTQ.

Good reasoning. I was thinking the limiting factor for a jetpack would be the fuel supply. There have been popular videos recently of people zipping around with those things, but I think those flights last only a couple minutes or so. No way someone could have crossed the Atlantic with one of those! And if someone had, it would have made an unforgettable news splash.

But, uhhh, just how "famous" is "The Spirit of Butts Farm"? It has a Wikipedia page, but that doesn't list any particularly big sources for its data.

Still, I'm impressed with its accomplishment. I was also wondering about its fuel supply; it apparently managed with only about 32 oz!

Ah, it may not have been the flight that got the question writers' attention, but the obituary of its creator, Maynard Hill, who died on June 7, last year. This obit goes into the whole story of the model airplane's development and flight.

Good reasons to root for him.

Smart man!

I don't know how I would have fared on the first part of his stack, but as for this part, it's nihil obstat®.
