Dang! I knew Vanderbilt was a railroad man. I didn't know Stanford was one, too. $1K isn't going to buy much of an animatronic dinosaur. :(

After the reveal, Meredith said something about "golden spike" being the big clue, because Stanford came from the Golden State of California. I think the spike was gold because of the significance of the event, not because the president of the Central Pacific Railroad happened to be from California, Mere. :|

It'll be just like Westworld, where nothing can go wrong...go wrong...go wrong (cue The Gunfighter).

Wonder twin powers activate!!!!!
I doubt that "many" would attribute the fist bump to this.

From the comfort of my recliner I guessed correctly - on the show I'd probably have used ATA.

Sometimes it seems that Meredith, in her eagerness to support the contestant, practically gives away the answer. In this case she re-emphasized the word "methods" after reading the question.

I'd have been torn between Vanderbilt and Stanford. I'll JTQ to be on the safe side.

Guess we are old fogies for remembering those physics-defying Wonder Twins. Don't forget Gleek!

I'm stunned the audience response was so low. I thought the whole "Activate!" fist thing was more iconic than that.

Just an oddity of typefaces as they show up on my screen, but when the transcribers are noting that the dollar value of a question was not revealed, they usually write it as

Value: $not revealed

but when I look at it on my screen, it looks like it says

Value: Snot revealed

and I get an awful, awful image of what must have happened...
Innocent, naive and whimsical. And somewhat footloose and fancy-free.

Here's a report about Guy's appearance.

http://www.northjersey.com/arts_enterta ... _park.html
Gsell, 51, had hoped to have enough money to help him with the park and send him on a paleontological dig.
None of the dinosaurs you find on a dig will be moving, Guy! :P

This report says Guy had a viewing party.

I do that on purpose. :) The template I use has the $ signs already in there. I didn't do this transcript, but I think the person who gave me the template did.

I wish that I could access my DVR here at work. On slow nights like tonight, I'd be caught up transcribing those Wednesday shows in no time.
