Homeopathy isn't likely to attract the attention of the Nobel committee considering many people consider it to be quackery. "Leeches" and "bloodletting" are much older practices, so that leaves "lobotomy" as the right answer.

That was my same reaction, ear, but amazingly enough, it is the same treaty!

But there's more to the story that makes the trademark situation more complicated than stated in the question. The international trademark for champagne was first protected in the Treaty of Madrid (1891) and then reaffirmed in the Treaty of Versailles. Now I guess US producers had the loophole that we hadn't ratified the 1891 treaty, either, but now we have.
