Bumping the placeholder up.

The first question was discussed on the J! Board.

I presume she goes to law school in NYC or else she'd never have gotten the last-minute call.

1. Starting right off with a WWOQ, which I would jump.

2. easy.

3. easy.

4. easy.

5. Another WWOQ. I can see why this is a level 10 question. I had zero idea, so I would have used my second JTQ up there.
I'm just a game show nerd.

SteelersFan knew this without the choices because of the "bar-headed." Showoff.

As for me, JTQ 2.
-- In Iroquois society, leaders are encouraged to remember seven generations in the past and consider seven generations in the future when making decisions that affect the people.
-- America would be a better place if leaders would do more long-term thinking. -- Wilma Mankiller

So they found an obscure detail from a scientist's personal life that nobody's ever heard of. Big deal! What personal details does anybody know about Richter, aside from the fact that he's the "earthquake guy"? But I was wondering if the question writers were using "surprisingly" in the reverse "fittingly" sense: three of the choices dealt with temperature. Pretty nasty having the odd-man-out be correct!

My hunch was Richter and my reasoning was based on when they lived - nudism strikes me as a 20th century phenomenon and the Richter scale was developed in the 20th century. Whether I'd have had the guts to go with that at the Hot Podium I can't say.

It's probably not seagull or pigeon. I can't decide between the other two so I use my second JTQ.
