Actually, I have a genuine Joe Pa question. Is Paterno still the head coach, or does he just show up to all the games because he can?

My alma mater didn't have a football team, but I hear that our synchronized lawn-mowing team is doing well this year.

He IS the head coach. He even still gets out there and argues with the refs about calls.

I think he lets the assistants do alot of the play calling during the game, but JoePa has already done the strategy ahead of time.

And.....

never mind. :D

And.....

never mind.
Because I answered it or are you still not sure?

I met him once, one on one in a dark parking lot.

Really.

Because you answered it at the exact moment I came to the conclusion that you hadn't seen it. Isn't he about 128 years old by now?

And he was doing really good until the football player broke his leg on the sidelines.

We (Buffalos! Buffalos! Go CU!) are 3-1 and playing Texas this weekend, wherein we will probably be squished like bugs.

A Buffalo can't be squished like a bug. Don't they weigh like 2 tons or something?

They laugh at cows, horns or not!

Beevo, the Texas steer, is pretty darn big -- as big as any buffalo I've ever seen. Don't call him a cow when he can hear you.

My mom lives about 45 min. outside of Austin -- close to Hill Country. One of her friends/bridge buddies actually owns Bevo, and she has visited the ranch on many occasions.

For some strange reason she won't take me over to see him . . . or even tell me where he lives. She says good bridge partners are tough to come by.

Thanks, Mom!

I always spell the steer's name wrong. I think it's subconscious disdain.

Hey, I'm with Mom. I wouldn't tell you either if it would jeopardize my favorite bridge partner.

Not that I know anything worth knowing to begin with.

Boy, that came out wrong.
